Mikala graciously drove down last minute one Saturday to model for me. We combined our closets to put together a boho styled outfit we both liked, and we hit the road. I had spotted a large patch of wisteria the day before, right at dusk. So I wasn't sure what to expect once we got there, I only knew I've always dreamed of shooting in wisteria.
After arriving, however, we quickly decided that it just wasn't the day for wisteria. Not to be deterred, I punched in Cedar Hill State Park in the GPS, and thankfully it was only minutes away. I've also wanted to shoot this location for quite awhile, so although it wasn't part of the original plan, we had a blast exploring the area. Mikala had never been to Cedar Hill or Mansfield before (I know, crazy), so it was new for her as well. And let me say... the light at the park is so yummy. 😍 Her floppy hat also added the perfect touch... I do love photographing a good hat and appreciate those who can pull them off. (Trust me, more people can than you think.)
Maybe the next wisteria spotting will go more smoothly. But I certainly can't complain about this session. Enjoy!
